Drill/Boring Bit Adapter with Retaining Screw
This adapter is made especially to run 10mm shank dowel drills and boring bits on a CNC machine. Accommodates the flat area on the 10mm round drill bit shank, secure with the 2 set screws (M6), same method as on boring machines.
Amana Tool® dowel drills are coated in a special Teflon® non-stick color coating, there is no need to sand coating off before use.Once the tool starts drilling, the coating is cleared off the needed cutting edge right away.
Amana's Dowel Drills are coated with a special Teflon® color which bakes onto the bit at a temperature of 570° F.That paint reduces the friction between the chip and the body inside the flute and it helps to clear the chips out of the hole during the drilling creating cooler drilling area, no burning and longer lasting bit cutting edge.
Total Indicated Run-out (TIR) is 0.00118" (0.03mm)
Note: When securing drill bit into the adapter, make sure to align the flat part of the shank with both set screws.
