Watch as master mechanic John from NYC CNC creates a decorative Gas Cap with the ToolsToday logo by milling 4140 Steel on his CNC machine using Amana Tool® industrial solid carbide spiral CNC router bits.
Step 1.
Amana's 1/4" Dia. Solid Carbide Spiral CNC Up-Cut Router Bit / End Mill with AlTiN Coating #51464 rough cuts the 4140 Steel to create the overall shape of the Gas Cap.
Step 2.
Amana's 90° x 1/4" Dia. Solid Carbide 'V' Spiral CNC Up-Cut Drill / Router Bit / End Mill with AlTiN Coating #51652 chamfers the edges of the Gas Cap for a smooth surface.
Step 3.
Amana's 1mm Dia. Solid Carbide Spiral Ball Nose 3D Milling CNC Up-Cut Router Bit with ZrN Coating #46471 mills the ToolsToday logo into the face of the Gas Cap.
