Hand drawn “BeWARe” Halloween Sign by Pierre-Luc Arseneau from Pla3d.com turned into CNC art using ArtCam and Amana Tool® Router bits on a Iconic X Series CNC machine.
Amana's new Spektra™ Extreme Tool Life Coated router bits feature a nACo® nanocomposite coating with extreme nanohardness and heat resistance. With a brilliant, distinctively-tinted coloring, nACo provides additional improvements in critical aspects of router tooling which results in extreme tool longevity and cuts of the highest quality.
Sketching the concept with a pencil, Pierre-Luc Arseneau draws his skull and crossbones concept on paper. He scans his finished drawing, imports the file into Corel Draw and begins to trace his artwork by creating the vectors. ArtCam is used to create and simulate the tool paths. Now that the digital file is prepared for cutting, he transfers the file to a portable USB drive and inserts the drive into his CNC machine. Pierre will insert his tools and center his X, Y and Z axis before making his initial cut on his CNC machine.
