This solid carbide bit is used where laminate is applied over precut openings in the substrait. In a continuous operation, bore through the laminate and cut the laminate out of the opening. The plunge point bores through the laminate to begin, and the integral pilot rides along the opening’s inside edge to guide the trimming cut.
