We asked David and Katharina von den Driesch from Design by KD if they would like to work with us on producing a sign making video. Cutting the Spektra™ logo into carbon fiber would provide useful insight into material challenges.

‘We were delighted when ToolsToday asked us to produce this video, as our business started purely as a hobby and we were proud that our contributions to the ToolsToday community were rated so highly”, said David.

First, David glued the custom blue colored, 1/16” thick carbon fiber sheet to the 3/4" thick plywood. He uses a variety of Solid Carbide Engraving, Composite, Compression Spiral, Down Spiral and V-Groove Router Bits to produce this sign.
