The AlTiN coated solid carbide cutting tip is brazed to a steel shank specially designed to cut grooves in composite building materials such as Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) , Alucobond®, Dibond®, e-panel™, Etalbond®, ALPOLIC® Copper Composite Material (CCM), Titanium Composite Material (TCM), Stainless Steel Composite Material (SCM) and Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP), ect.
AlTiN coating has many benefits:
- Extra wear resistance
- Allows for faster feed and speed rates
- Cutting edge protected from wear
- Better chip evacuation
- Less heat build up
- Superior cutting quality and extended tool life
ACM is a type of flat panel that consists of two thin aluminium sheets bonded to a non-aluminium core and is widely used as cladding for many diverse applications such as interior and exterior office buildings, external cladding or facades of buildings, hospitals, convention centers, airports, hotels, insulation and signage. Routing V-shaped grooves, whereby the aluminum cover and a part of the polyethylene core is removed, allows folding the remaining material by hand. Ideal for wall panel fabrication.
