The RC-2252 CNC insert spoilboard industrial router bit with scorers
features a unique 2+2 knife design that contains two cutting flutes and
two up-shear scorers, which provide a smoother finish at the bottom of
the cut than traditional two-knife style router bits.
Cutting
applications include spoilboard, planning and rabbeting large surface
areas in MDF, Balsa Core, hardwood, softwood and all man-made
materials. The RC-2252 was engineered with an Amana-exclusive carbide
grade for the highest quality of cut, maximum cutting efficiency,
faster material removal process and longest tool life.
The
industrial router bit features insert knives with four cutting edges
that allow users to flip the knife over when one side becomes dull and
is available in 3/4" shank size with the highest-quality finish
available on woodworking tools.
The RC-2252
router used in conjunction with the Amana #45200 to square out the
corners make production of Shaker-style doors made from MDF more
economical and less labor-intensive, while producing superior results.
Typical Shaker doors are constructed of a plywood center panel
surrounded by a four-piece stile and rail frame. Creating Shaker doors
using MDF requires routing out the center panel to achieve the recessed
look. MDF doors have their own unique advantages due to the fact they
do not warp, which makes them ideal for use in humid climates you’ll
experience in bathrooms and kitchens |
